I am a Maine-based writer looking at the relationships between humans and the environment. I grew up in New Hampshire and received my B.A. in English from the College of William & Mary, where I minored in anthropology and studied Irish Literature at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Before moving to Maine, I lived in New York City and worked for Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
I write short stories, flash fiction, and essays that examine the intersection of human relationships, memory, and the environment. My TinyLetter combines book reviews with personal stories, and I’m the lead editor for Under the Sun, a monthly newsletter for ReVision Energy. You can usually find me skiing, hiking, and exploring rivers across Maine, NH, and Vermont.

“Time is a flattened landscape, a land of unlinked lakes seen from the air.”
